By comparison, the new bathroom is a breath of fresh air. The new vanity is a beautiful vertical grain walnut with lots of drawers for storage. The mirrors above are custom-framed in the same wood to help create a cohesive look. Soft grey blues in the paint, shower pan, and accent tile are contrasted by Delta’s line of matte black fixtures and a trendy patterned Clé cement tile. The shower transformed from a claustrophobic stall into a light and open space with plenty  of room and only a single panel of glass to keep clean. New LED vanity lights, recessed can lights, and a new high window provide plenty of light without sacrificing privacy. Also providing privacy is a new pocket door closing off the bathroom from the bedroom, and another pocket door into the closet provides even more storage space. We also closed in the existing soffit at one end of the room, which was essentially acting as a dust collector. All of these elements together help to create a space that is both beautiful and highly functional.
