Ian

Lead Project Designer

Ian is one of MAK's Lead Project Designers and brings a sharp architectural eye to every project he touches. Before joining MAK, Ian worked as an architect in the Bay Area, where he developed a strong foundation in space planning, design detailing, and creative problem-solving.

Ian loves collaborating with clients to understand how they truly want to live in and use their spaces, then translating those needs into thoughtful, functional designs. His architectural background gives him a unique ability to draft creative solutions to tricky design challenges. Ian is highly process-oriented, and he holds his work to a high standard, striving to get every project as close to technically and visually perfect as possible. He works closely with the Design and Production teams to ensure that what's drawn on paper translates seamlessly into what gets built.

Outside of work, Ian is an avid outdoorsman, having grown up in the Seattle area with easy access to mountains, water, and everything in between. That upbringing gave him a deep appreciation for nature that he carries with him in Davis today.
